Immigration and Corporate Paralegal
Part – Time or Full – Time
As part of office team, you will work under the overall supervision of the attorney. You will help and
assist attorney with immigration and corporate work. You will have responsibility, autonomy, and
exercise discretion within the scope of your duties. You will interact with clients directly.
Responsibilities include: Review material to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory
requirements. Follow up on case processing and other matters until final adjudication. Get information,
check facts, and research legal issues. Draft/revise documents; engage in correspondence; review, edit,
and complete forms; check and revise information and documents as required. Analyze/draft various
documents and agreements. Handle sensitive information, and maintain confidentiality.
Requirements include: Paralegal License needed. College degree and experience a plus. English fluency is essential (speaking, reading, writing). Should be thorough, organized, have with eye for detail, able to
and work independently, multi-task, work under pressure, and prioritize work. Must be proficient with
MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and must be quick to learn other software applications. References needed.
Knowledge of Spanish or other language preferred. Salary: depending on qualifications.
Legal Assistant
Part – Time or Full – Time
You will be part of the office team and work under the overall supervision of the attorney and senior
staff. You will help and assist attorney and other staff with work. You will have responsibility, autonomy,
and exercise discretion within the scope of your duties. You will interact with clients directly.
Your responsibilities will include the following: Provide administrative support to attorney and to office in general; greet and meet clients, conduct research; organize and maintain client and office documents; communicate and interact responsibly with clients and others; ensure that deadlines are kept; answer telephone, take and relay messages/notes as required; schedule appointments as required.
Skills required:Proficiency with computers, MS Office including Word, Outlook, Excel, etc., effective oral communication and writing skills in English. Must be organized, able to multi-task, work under pressure, and be part of a team. Must be responsible and able to work independently. Minimum AA diploma and Legal Secretary/Assistant Certificate preferred. Experience preferred. Background check required.
